My favorite birthday memory was actually just a couple of weeks ago! I have never been to Little Italy in Baltimore for a fancy dinner, and I LOVE pasta, so my wonderful boyfriend bought me an awesome black halter dress, shoes, and a clutch bag, and we went out on the town! That food was soooo good! I had some shrimp topped with mozzarella and prosciutto, broiled in white wine. And YUM!!!! Some of that crusty Italian bread.
Thanks for this giveaway!

I love your card! What a cute stamp set. My favorite birthday memories are sledding down a huge hill in our neighborhood in the middle of the night. My birthday is in April and there always seems to be snow around in Colorado...so whenever I had a birthday slumber party, this is what we would do. Sledding by the moonlight! But, even better was my 21st birthday when my husband proposed to me!

On my 18th birthday my parents gave me a diamond necklace I had been looking at for some time but didn't want to ask for. It was the first "real" piece of jewelry I ever had. I still have it to this day! I plan on giving it to my daughter when she turns 16!

I was five and my Dad was away on business. I was so sad he was gone and missed my birthday. I wanted a hamster so bad, but didn't get one. He called to wish me a happy birthday and asked if I had gotten everything I wanted...then my sister and mom came out with a cage and little teddy bear hamster and I went crazy..still remember that day, such a Daddy's Girl! I loved that hamster! Just one of those great memories, from 24 years ago!
Thanks for the chance!

The year that I turned 10 (at least I think it was that year), I got the much begged for/prayed for and whined for: banana seat bicycle. Does anybody else remember those? Man, was I cool then. I could be one of the big kids.... what great memories. Thanks...

Well my last birthday was way fun. I was invited by a local tv station to be an audience member on the breakfast show. All audience members who were celebrating their birthday got a blackeberry. We ate pancakes and sausage for breakfast, had a huge birthday cake, ballon games, watched a magician and I was chosen to play a game. I won some athletic clothing and running shoes.
The date was February 29, I turned 13, teenager at last! (Thats 52 in your years!)
It sure is nice to have such a fuss made about your birthday, especially when it only comes once every 4 years.

Favorite cake is Angel Food cake. One year, at age 7 or so, my mom dusted the cake with lots of powdered sugar for me.Must have not had time to make frosting or something. When I blew out the candles...yah, you guessed it...powder sugar all over. It made everyone laugh and cleaning up the powder sugar wasn't that bad. Memories, got to love them.

Being a Christmas baby, birthdays weren't always the best b/c let's face it - when opening Christmas presents who wants to celebrate a birthday! I always got the famous line "Save one for later to open as a your birthday gift" what a bummer to hear that as a kid! But when I was 22 my husband (then fiancee) gave me a cake (with no red or green icing), and had my presents wrapped in birthday wrap (again NOT Christmas wrap). I loved it! It may have only been icing and wrapping paper but that was the first b-day that I've ever had that wasn't Christmas themed! It was my day! Thanks for the chance to win!

My best birthday memory is from my 26th birthday. It wouldn't seem like it should be a "happy" memory since my husband had pneumonia and my stepdaughter had caught the chicken pox (which my daughter, at 5 mths old, would get next a couple of weeks later). But what made it so wonderful that was even though my husband was feeling so bad, he still had a little party with just our immediate family for me complete with cake and presents! I always remember how special I felt that he would go to the trouble even though he was so sick.

My favorite birthday was when I turned 11. I had a party at the roller rena. Me and my 4 BFFs! We were having a grand time. Suddenly one of my BFFs fell and broke her arm. We tried calling my parents but they were not home (way before cell phones) So we called the mother of the girl with the broken arm. She drove an El Cameno. She came to get us and all 5 of us girls and mom piled into the front of that thing to go to the hospital. Why is that my favorite birthday? Cause it was just about fun and friendship, and didn't cost hundreds of dollars.

Actually, I'm not sure what age I turned...but the memory was this...my mom and sister made a scavenger hunt for me. I remember having to find a certain thing and then there would be a new clue to the next item I had to find. It was a lot of fun and it ended in a birthday Barbie that had a little lipstick and she really kissed you.

I believe it was my 7th or 8th b'day. My mom had a party for me, but before the party started our doorbell rang 2 or 3 times with little boys bringing me flowers. We later realized they had been picking them out of the neighbour's garden. lol

When I was little my mom would dress me up like a little princess with a pretty pink dress and mini (paper) tiara. I'm a summer baby so I have pictures of me running around in that cute dress, barefoot, just waiting for my friends to arrive.

Let’s see…ummmmmm my favorite birthday memory is probably my 40th birthday.

Let me start out by saying, yes, I do have a family of my own…3 kids, (all married), a husband, grandkids,(that I adore), but I think what sticks out in my mind as special, is my 40th birthday, MY brother and sister along with my dad, we all got together in one central place (we all live in different states and they have families of their own too) and celebrated! It was special because it made me feel like a kid again. Most people dread their 40th, but mine I think turned out to be my most special one.

I love this set and would love to win it! Thanks for giving me this opportunity.

Just wait till Jan. 2009 and I'll tell ya my 21st was the best! :)

Then we all got to decorate the room together the next week.

My favorite birthday was my 40th! Sounds crazy, I know! lol I was just getting ready to have surgery and was rather down. I had no family around, they all live far away, and my hubby invited my best friend over, and we had a beautiful dinner, and my b/f gave me all sorts of stamping goodies, but my husband handed me this beautiful box. Before I could open it he said, your 40th birthday is something you should never forget, so when you wear this, think of this day. I opened it and there was a BEAUTIFUL gold necklace, bracelet and earrings in it. I am so lucky! I think the reason this was my favorite birthday is because I really thought it was just going to be another day, had no expectations, and it turned out to be awesome!!!

Thank you for the chance at your wonderful blog candy!

My favorite birthday memory is when I had a party in the 5th grade at an ice cream place and me and my friends got to eat "the volcano" which was two feet high filled with nothing but ice cream, hot fudge and whipped cream =)

I love your card and how you stamped a portion of the image in the circles! Wouldn't have thought of that myself!!!!

It's hard to pick just one birthday memory that was a favorite. Every one seems to be special for a different reason. I guess one that stands out in my memory is when I was about 7 and I had a bunch of my girl friends over after school for a party and my mom made homemade pizza. Everyone was so shocked that you could make pizza at home. The year we graduated from high school one of the girls and I were talking and she mentioned the homemade pizza and how awesome it was and how she'd love for mom to make her another one! ~ M&M's

Birthdays were never much fun in my family growing up, I shared a birthday with BOTH of my parents and I think maybe they resented that as much as I did.

However the year I turned 16 (such a magic number for a girl) my 3 closest school friends took me out for dinner, a cheesy restaurant with waitresses in poodle skirts and jukeboxes on the tables. The wait staff brought me a cake and sang to me, made me wear a beanie hat, then gave me a polaroid of the event. Silly as it sounds I've never felt more special than that day more than 20 years ago.

The table would be set with a paper table cloth, and we would all where the cardboard cone hats and sing happy birthday. Very simple. Having to young children, I know how out of control b-days can get. When I was growing up, things seemed so simple and FUN!!!!
