Serendipity Blog Hop!

Hi and welcome to the 3rd stop in the Serendipity Stamps first ever Blog Hop! We're celebrating the release of two gorgeous stamp and die sets, the Heart Scroll and Egg Scroll. If you hopped over here from Miriam's Delirium, then you're on the right track. If not, the first stop on the hop is Sue's Creative Workshop. You won't want to miss any stops along the way. (See details below!)

I have two projects to share with you today. First up is a card I made using the Egg Scroll die.

When I first got my hands on this die I was amazed by the intricate pattern. It can be used together with the matching stamp or by itself as I did here. I wish you could see a close-up of the egg. I coated it in micro-fine glitter from Glitz and it sparkles big time. The Easter Greeting sentiment is also from Serendipity Stamps and can be found here.

My next card features the Heart Scroll die. It too has a matching stamp. I chose to use it with patterned paper on its own.

Isn't it beautiful? I love how it is simple and complex all at the same time. Here I used the Love Inside sentiment from Serendipity to complete the card.

Now are you ready for the exciting news? By leaving a comment on each stop of the Blog Hop you will be entered to win a random drawing. Mary from Serendipity Stamps is giving away one Heart Scroll stamp and die set and one Egg Scroll stamp and die set. Please limit your comments to one per blog. You have until March 2nd to leave your comments. I'm crossing my fingers for you!!

Now, jump on ahead to visit One Krafty Kat for another chance to win!

That's it for now...

Morning Smile

Just a quick and fun card that I hope brings a smile to your face this Monday morning! I love this set from Lawn Fawn called "Love ‘n Breakfast". The set is crammed full of adorable images. Just makes me happy.

I used a SCS sketch challenge (SC373) for the layout and picked some bright Basic Grey to jump start the card. The border stamp is from Papertrey Ink and is part of their "Love and Marriage" set.

I hope your week will be all smooth sailing. Be sure to drop back by on Wednesday, the 29th for our very first Serendipity Stamps Blog Hop. So excited!

A Word for all Seasons

Thanks for dropping by for this week's Serendipity Stamps challenge, and what a fun challenge it is. The design team is creating either a scrapbook page or photo card using some of the "Word Stamps" that Serendipity Stamps has to offer. I wanted to work with the "Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter set". You'll find other sets here: 278, 274, 581, 430, 341. Many of these sets are also available as sticker sets and are currently on sale. Check them out here.

I began by searching through my iPhoto program to find photos that would represent all four seasons. I knew right away that for winter I wanted to use a picture of our back yard after a recent snowfall. I wasn't sure what I had available to depict the others. The search was fun though and other than having to remind myself to stay on task instead of becoming sidetracked by all the wonderful memories the pictures brought back, the hunt went rather quickly. I then created a template in Photoshop Elements and printed the photos on Neenah card stock. I printed them twice so I would be able to cut them out and pop them up for some dimension. I stamped each "season" in a coordinating color and mounted it on patterned paper. I finished the photo card with a touch of bling and some faux stitching.

Be sure to check out Jeanne, Amy, Miriam and Sue's challenge projects.

Until later....

Easter Chick

Today the Serendipity Stamps Design Team gets to play with Easter stamps! There is such a fun collection to choose from and this little chick was too cute to pass up! I think he just shouts "Spring!" He's a snap to color too. While you're visiting Serendipity's site, be sure and check out the gorgeous new Heart Scroll and Egg Scroll stamps. I can't wait to play with these this weekend.

I used some new Miss Caroline "Fiddlesticks" patterned paper from My Mind's Eye on my card. They just keep coming out with more and more beautiful collections. If they keep it up I'll be in the poorhouse. I just need them all!

Wishing for an early spring?...then check out more Easter goodies from my fellow design team members.
