This post will remain on top until the 15th. Please scroll down to view newer posts.

Today is the 2nd anniversary of Just an Inkling and I want to share my excitement with you! In honor of this occasion, I have put together a little blog candy package for one lucky visitor. Will it be you?

What better way to celebrate than with cake and ice cream? I know in our family, all our celebrations seem to center around food. All you have to do for a chance to win is leave a comment on this message telling me how your family celebrates with food. It could be a special occasion, memory or even a special recipe. I'll choose one random winner on July 15th and post it here.

Good luck and please, only one entry per person and include a valid email address in your entry. For a complete list of items included, check out the description below.

I have assembled a fun assortment of goodies which include:

You Old Bird - BC #60

Sorry, I am beyond late in posting my card once again! This is my card for the Blogger's Challenge. We needed to make a birthday card this week. I chose to use the Bird Assortment set from Inkadinkado to make a card for my dear friend Karin. (She's the only one I can get away with calling an old bird!)

I stamped the owl in Versamark and then in Adirondack Caramel and embossed with fine detail clear embossing powder. I then colored her in with Copic Markers. The PP is from the Basic Grey Fruitcake collection.

The winner of my blog candy never stepped forward so I drew a new winner today.... and the winner is.....

Send me your address Leanne so I can have Denise from Storage Units, Ink & More ship your set right out! Congratulations!

Hope your week ahead is terrific!

It's all about the details:
Card stock: Bazzill
Patterned Paper: Basic Grey
Stamps: Inkadinkado
Ink: Adirondack Caramel, SU Cranberry Crisp, Versamark
Accessories: Foam Squares, buttons, ribbon, embossing powder, glue dots

Happy Blogoversary to me!

I have two things to celebrate today! First, my first entry to KWernerdesign Blog Color Inspiration challenge made the Top 10! Woohoo! I was so excited.

Second, it has been a year today since I began this crazy thing called blogging! I often wondered if I was doing it for an audience of one (me, that is ) and when I finally decided that would not be a bad thing, I began enjoying it so much more! I want to thank each and every one of you who have visited during the last year and for all of the wonderful comments that lifted me up. Thank you so much!!

I know that there are also several who visit but don't leave comments and that's OK too, but now is the time to come forward and introduce yourself.

BECAUSE......

In celebration of this milestone, I have a little something for YOU! Blog Candy!!

All you have to do is leave me a comment (one entry per person please) on this post by July 10th and I will let Random.org select one lucky winner to receive all these fun things:

  • Stampin' Up pastel chalks
  • Verve "Here For You" stamp set
  • Distress Ink - Aged Mahogany
  • Flora Doodles by Petaloo
  • Tiny buttons from Dress it Up
  • Studio G small clear block
  • Queen & Co. bold round brads
  • Offray red gingham ribbon
  • Yellow Stickles
  • Stamping Bella Baubles
What are you waiting for? Don't be shy. Get busy leaving that comment!

My Turn!

Yeah! It's my turn to share a sneak peek for Storage Units, Ink & More with you! This bathing beauty is from the new "Get Your Goggles On!" set that will be released on July 1st. Isn't she adorable? She is absolutely a dream to color. I used Copic Markers to bring her to life. I really enjoyed working with this set and I felt a little like I was back in my childhood days playing with paper dolls. Remember how much fun it was to pick out just the right outfit? OK, I am probably dating myself again aren't I? Do they even still make paper dolls?

How would YOU like a chance to play with this set? Denise from SU Ink & More has generously donated a set for each design team member to give away as blog candy. And just what do you have to do to win? Simply leave a comment on this post (one per person, please) and on Friday evening I will select one lucky entry with the help of Random.org. GOOD LUCK!!!

I have also found a new favorite card stock. Have you tried Core'dinations yet? It has a core color that coordinates with the surface color and it has both a textured and smooth side. I used some of the Aqua Blues for this card. It is great for any use but it REALLY rocks when used in tearing, antiquing or sanding. Storage Units, Ink & More will be carrying this paper soon. It's a must try.

The PP comes from Anna Griffin's Alix Collection and the fun flowers are "Flora Doodles" from Petaloo. I used my new pinking shears on the border and added faux stitching with my paper piercer and Signo white pen.... and just to add a touch of bling, I added one small crystal to her bag.

I can't wait to show you all the other creations I have whipped up with these new stamps. They are so much fun and they stamp so beautifully. Be sure and check in tomorrow and I'll share which design team member will be showing off another Sneak Peek!

Patterned Paper: Anna Griffin, Alix Collection

Orange you glad I reached 1,000?

Yeah, Blog Candy!

In honor of reaching 1,000 hits, I am celebrating with my first blog candy. With fall in the air and Halloween just around the corner, I thought I'd do something special for the unsung color, orange.

Here's what you can win:

Spiced Marmalade Distress Embossing Powder
KI Memories orange and checkerboard paper clips
MM Mango paint
Reel of orange ribbon from Michaels
KI Memories flower bubble frame
MM sherbet mini brad pack
Cloud 9 Design Rain Dots
MM ribbon and ribbon brads
Basic Grey Obscure 6 x 6 paper pad

All you have to do to be entered into the drawing is leave me a comment telling me about your favorite thing that is orange. It could be your favorite sweater or autumn leaves, just anything orange! I'm leaving on vacation on the 13th, so I'll leave this on top and I'll draw a random winner on October 31st and announce it here.

Good luck and thanks so much for visiting my blog.
