Something Girly

I loved this week's challenge over at No Time to Stamp. The quest was to make something soft and girly! I LOVE girly! The feminine touches in my entry include scallops, the color pink, flowers, crochet, hat pin, glitter and rick rack.

I began by selecting this My Mind's Eye PP called "Fancy Party". The pattern just jumped out at me at the LSS. I think pink is one of those "love it or hate it" colors and I for one LOVE IT! I created the scallops with the Long Classic Scalloped Rectangle Nestability die and added it to card stock. I then stamped the sentiment by Verve and cut and embossed it with Nestabilities as well. I added rick rack, a hat pin and a crocheted flower from Oriental Trading Company. For the center of the flower, I took a large brad and coated it in Glossy Accents and the dipped it in Scrapbook Shimmer from Making Memories.

Thanks for the challenge Sharon. I loved it!

Don't forget to leave a message on my Blogoversary post for a chance to win Blog Candy. I will draw a winner on July 10th.

It's all about the details:
Card stock: Stampin' Up
Patterned Paper: My Mind's Eye
Stamps: Verve, Asian Flair
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Palette in Landscape
Accessories: Crochet Flower, Hat pin, Rick Rack, Scrapbook Shimmer
Tools: Scor-pal, Nestabilities, Glossy Accents

Thanks for the comment on my dolly food...you really know how to make a gal's day! Ü Love those flowers...I've been trying to figure out how to make those so I don't have to purchase them. You're not terribly far away...I'm just the state south.
