I haven't participated in Beate's weekend sketch challenge for a long time. It seems like the weekend flies by and before you know it Monday is here and I've missed my opportunity. Looks like I just caught the last one for awhile too, because Beate is taking a break until August 15th.
I really like this sketch and it's nice to make a different sized card for a change. I used K & Company's Wild Saffron PP. I just love the rich colors in this paper. I cut out one of the butterflies and placed it on dimensionals and used my paper piercer to accentuate the "trail". The sentiment is from Verve Visual and was cut out with my Wizard and Nestabilities. It's such a simple card but I really like the final effect.
You have to check out Susan Lile's adorable mini-album for day #3's sneak peek over at Storage Units, Ink & More's blog. She used the new "Get Your Goggles On" set which will debut on July 1st. Susan is giving away a set on her blog. Be sure and get your entry in.
It's all about the details:
Card stock: Bazzill
Patterned Paper: K & Company
Stamps: Verve Visual
Ink: Memento, Tuxedo Black, Distress Ink, Antique Linen
Accessories: Foam Squares
Tools: Scor-pal, Nestabilities, Paper piercer
