I checked in tonight to see what the inspiration challenge was at Splitcoast Stampers. What fun IC130 turned out to be. The object was to use any dress from a movie to inspire a card. The first dress that popped into my mind was Marilyn Monroe's dress from "The Seven Year Itch". You know the sexy one she is wearing when the blast of air blows it up around her waist and tantalized the 50's audience with a sneak at Marilyn's undies.
I scored my card with Scor-pal to represent the pleats in the dress and then added other touches that represent Marilyn to me...glittered brads for diamonds and glitz, silver to represent her platinum "blonde" hair and pink, what I always think of as her signature color.
Thanks for the terrific challenge Stef. I really enjoyed everyone's take on this one.
It's all about the details:
Card stock: Papertrey Ink
Patterned Paper: None
Stamps: Stampin' Up Priceless
Ink: VersaMagic, Pixie Dust, Splash Metallics, Silver Lame
Accessories: Foam Squares, Brads, Ribbon
Tools: Scor-pal
