I ran across this fun stamp from Stamps Happen, Inc. (They were purchased by Janlynn and you can find them here now. I couldn't find this stamp though, so he may be retired.) when I was searching for another stamp. I purchased this critter over four years ago but to be honest, I could never figure out what to do with it. My primary issue was what method of coloring to use on this adorable iguana. He's quite large, 6 inches from toe to tail and until I discovered Copic Markers I was never happy with the end result. Copics really make a difference. First I colored him with YG13, Chartreuse and then added shadows with G14, Apple Green. I added dots of BG96, Bush to his legs, tail and around his eye. Then to create the "scales", I added colorless blending solution to my Cuttlebug Mesh Texture Embossing Folder and lightly pressed my image onto it. I love the lizard skin result! I also ran a piece of red card stock through the same folder to use as an accent.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a terrific week. My husband and I will be taking off on Tuesday for Lake Chelan for a short vacation. I'll catch you all when I get back.
