Summer Afternoon

This week's inspiration challenge at Splitcoast Stampers has us using Lang Calendars to get our creative juices flowing.

I chose this calendar as my inspiration piece. I love Adirondack chairs. They just speak summer, relaxation and soft breezes to me. I chose this image from Artistic Outpost as the focal point for my card. I love the image but I especially love the sentiment. It snowed here again this morning and never was this quote more appreciated and understood. "Summer afternoon, summer afternoon... The two most beautiful words in the English language."

Patterned paper is Stampin' Up's Green Tea...these colors are so soothing. Here's wishing we could all "slip away" to summer even if it's only for a few minutes courtesy of this craft we love.

It's all about the details:
Card stock: Stampin' Up
Patterned Paper: Stampin' Up

Stamps: Artistic Outpost
Ink: Stampin' Up
Accessories: Dew Drops, SU Ribbon, Dimensionals
Tools: Nestabilities, Slot punch

I can see what you mean about the soothing colours - it's beautiful Kathie! Though personally I'm a bit over Summer at the moment - it's 109o outside at the moment here - and it's nearly 9pm!!! Would rather be sitting in your picture - LOL
