What a Wonderful World - Serendipity Stamps and The Twinery Blog Hop

Happy Wednesday and welcome to Day 3 of The Twinery and Serendipity Stamps Blog Hop!

I am so excited to be participating in this amazing Blog Hop as a Serendipity Stamps alumni. Thanks for inviting me Mary! I was super happy to combine my favorite stamps with The Twinery's gorgeous twine for today's project.

The fun began on Monday the 28th so be sure to check out Day 1 and 2 as well.  Like prizes? (and who doesn't)  Be sure to leave comments on the blogs for your chance to win goodies from both companies! You'll find the complete scoop on posters and prizes by visiting the Serendipity Stamps Blog and The Twinery Blog.

If you are following along in the hop, you should have arrived via DoBea's Blog. If not, be sure to go back and check it out. You'll find a complete list of today's participants below.

Here's my card that I call "Casual Friday". Please tell me that I am not the only one that nicknames my cards. LOL!

I began with a pocket from an old pair of blue jeans that I had saved. You know, in case it came in handy someday. :) I wrapped the pocket multiple times in Maraschino Solid twine (such a luscious deep red)  and attached it to the card using large glue dots. I then stamped "And I Think to Myself" (I dare you to use this stamp without singing or at least humming the song. Go head, try, it's impossible!) on white cardstock with Memento Nautical Blue ink. The font on this stamp just makes me happy! I cut out the sentiment with Nestabilities and attached it using Midnight Blue Stripe twine. A little heart button embellished with the same twine finished the card.

Thanks for visiting me today! Jennifer Cuthbertson is your next stop on the hop. Have fun and be sure to leave your comments! Remember to visit the Serendipity Stamps and The Twinery blogs for complete details.

Enjoy and thanks again!!

Oh Kathie! This is super cute. I'd call this "Americana" - it captures my idea of summertime in the USA! The red white and blue and denim are just perfect together!

Now that you mention it that phrase will be going through my mind for the rest of the day. Great way to recycle jean pockets. I'll have to see if I can find some old ones to do this with. It is a fun and wonderful card.
