A Simple Card

Today's card is a challenge from Serendipity Stamps. Our directive this time was to create a simple Christmas card. Aaaack! Let's face it, I am simple challenged! (No pun intended.) The more layers and embellishments I use, the happier I am. :)

I used the "Christmas Ball" image as the centerpiece. I stamped it in Versamark ink and then heat embossed it with Stampendous Embossing Powder. I colored the ribbon with Rhubarb Stalk Memento Marker and then added some silver glitter to the ornament. I then stamped and embossed the "Season's Greetings" sentiment. I used my Score Buddy to accent the sentiment without adding layers.

Check out the other design team creations and be sure to say hi to our newest member Jeanne Jachna! Then hop over to see Amy, Jenny and Miriam's blogs.

On a personal note, we're on baby watch for my son and daughter-in-law's first baby! He is due to arrive any day now and he will certainly add much joy this Christmas. I hope you have a blessed Christmas too!

It's all about the details:
Stamps: Serendipity Stamps
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink
Patterned Paper: Echo Park
Ink: Versamark

Accessories: Dimensionals, Memento Marker, Glitter
Tools:
Nestabilities, Score Buddy

Oh how I love this card Kathie! This image is dear to me - when I was first married we were too broke to buy a Christmas Tree so we cut down a little cedar tree at my in-laws farm and used it. Be sure to let us all know when that little Christmas baby arrives!
