Tonight's post will be quick as a bunny. *groan* Sorry, couldn't resist! But it really does have to be a quick post. I have to get to bed and hopefully to sleep. I don't know why but I have had a terrible time getting to sleep lately. I only got about three hours last night and I sure hope tonight will be better.
I made this card for Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge. It's a great sketch and I love how this card came together. I rarely use purple in my designs but it just seemed to fit here. I colored the image with Prismacolor Pencils and then blended with mineral spirits. I haven't used this technique for a long time but it was a nice change from my Copics.
You'll find the rest of the details below.
Goodnight all.

Let's Tango
Time for another kwernerdesign Color Challenge. In the spotlight this week are: Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango, So Saffron, and Whisper White. I think this is my first use of Tangerine Tango but it won't be my last. I loved working with it.
I chose the Fiery Floral Scrapblock from Cornish Heritage Farms for my background and stamped it in the tangerine. I added one of Spellbinder's Borderabilities in So Saffron and added a touch of PP by American Crafts. The felt ribbon is from Stampin' Up and the sentiment is a rub-on from my stash.
Thanks for checking in and have a terrific week!

The Search for the Next Pussycat Doll (More is More)
I have wanted to try the More is More Fan Club challenge at Splitcoast for a long time and today was the day!
I love this and other stamps from The Cat's Pajamas "Spring Fling" Clearly Swanky set. Sprinkle the cat is just too cute in her Easter bonnet. I created the "less" card with just card stock, a little PP and ribbon. For the "more" version, I added PP to the background, pierced the circle and layered it with card stock, popped up the bow on dimensionals, added grass to the foreground, added additional ribbon, layered the sentiment and added a flourish.
To view the individual cards check out my SCS gallery.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend fully!

I Come in Peace
This month's central theme for the Fan Club over at Splitcoast Stampers is "TV Dinners". The challenge is to design a project around a television show either past or present.
I had so much fun just exploring the possibilities! I used to be a TV addict, much more so than since I discovered card making. I really wandered away from the path of current shows and at risk of showing my age, I was lost in reminiscing about the good 'ol days of television. Some of my favorite shows from my youth were:
- Mayberry RFD
- Man from U.N.C.L.E. (major crush on Illya Kuryakin aka David McCallum)
- The Donna Reed Show
- The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet
- The Patty Duke Show
- Bewitched
- The Partridge Family
- The Fugitive
- The Courtship of Eddie's Father
- That Girl
It's all about the details:
Card stock: Stampin' Up
Patterned Paper: My Mind's Eye and S.E.I.
Stamps: Stampabilities
Ink: Distress Ink, Black Soot
Accessories: Brads, Glossy Accents, SU Dimensionals, Copic Markers
Tools: Nestabilities, computer for sentiment

Think Spring - BC91
Yes, I am still alive. Thanks for asking. :-)
I can't believe it has been almost a month since I posted. My time has been taken up with two colds in the span of a month, helping put together just under 100 wedding invitations for my son and future daughter-in-law, creating 6 centerpieces, 30 place cards and 30 thank you cards for our work retreat on St. Patrick's day. Phew, I'm exhausted again just talking about it!
What I have really missed is participating in Blogger's Challenge and creating just for the joy of it. That brings me to today's card which is for Blogger's Challenge #91, Think Spring. I combined some Basic Grey Euphoria PP and Stampin' Up's Delicate Dots for the background and then whipped up a little spring flower out of card stock and Con-tact shelf liner. I used a SU corduroy button for the center. Love these, and love how it turned out! The happy little sentiment is from the "Spring Fling" Clearly Swanky Stamp collection from The Cat's Pajamas.
Thanks for hanging in with me. I promise I'll be back to post more in a few days. Right now though, I'm off for a couple days of R & R.
Later,
