I'm making it just under the wire this week for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge. I usually try to tackle it the day she posts her sketch, but this week somehow just got away from me!

I whipped this card up using the "Fancy Cake" stamp from Hero Arts and one of the sentiments from Stampin' Up's Oval All set.

A Bushell of Pumpkins

This card is a tribute to the first hint of fall I felt in the air today. Makes me so excited for the weeks to come!

My daughter and son-in-law allowed me to sit in on the ultrasound today. Everything looks good and we were so excited to find out that we will be welcoming a granddaughter in February! I can't wait to immerse myself in ruffles and ribbons and lace, oh and PINK! I hope my 3 1/2 year old grandson adjusts to the idea of a sister. He sobbed for several minutes today because he really had his heart set on a little brother.

Mass Production (Sort of)

Yesterday I made my first attempt at mass producing cards for my Etsy store. I say attempt because I have the hardest time creating the same card more than once. These are the closest I've come to date. I did stamp and color the same image (Stampendous "Pumpkin Plaque") with the same Copic markers and stayed with the same basic layout but I just had to mix up the patterned papers and ribbon.

Here's the final result: 6 new Halloween cards for my shop, it was a very good day!

A Fabulous Birthday

Today's card is a CASE of a card by Mercy Kerin. I bookmarked this card in June because I loved the use of several patterned papers and its simplicity. I am always looking for ways to use up some of my paper stash and this was a great way to do it.

I used a combo of Stampin' Up, My Mind's Eye and Carolee's Creations as the backdrop for the "Fabulous Birthday" stamp from Hero Arts. I added brads, silk ribbon and a flower cut from the PP for accents.

I can't believe our three day weekend is almost over! It felt so good just to wind down and do precious little. Other than stamping, of course! I created several Halloween cards for my Etsy shop and I'll post those tomorrow. Hope you really enjoyed your holiday as well.

Tiny Yawns

I'm just a tad late in playing along with this sketch from one of the Dare to Get Dirty challenges. About 2 months late to be exact! I saw all the other cards made with this sketch and made a mental note that I had to use it eventually ... and I just love the end result.

These adorable baby shoes are from All Night Media. I think the stamp can be challenging to find now, (I've had it for years.) but I did find an eBay seller that has a few here. The sentiment is a stamp called "Tiny Yawns" from A Muse Artstamps. Isn't it the sweetest saying?

The patterned papers are from the "Baby Bee" collection from Crate Paper. One of my favorite all time lines. Speaking of Crate Paper, have you seen their newest lines? (Check them out here.) OMG, I think I need them all. OK, maybe need is the wrong word, but I seriously want them all!

Time for Tea

Are these papers to die for? I love the choice of patterned paper Taylor put in the Key Ingredients kit this month. They're from the Linnie Bell collection by Pebbles Inc. It's hard to put together oranges, reds, pinks and yellows but they manged to find just the perfect shades in this really fun line.

Today's card is for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge. If you haven't tried her sketches yet, this is a great one to start with. It's fun but not overly complicated. Just my style!

I inked up the teapots from "Tea for Two" from Papertrey Ink for the first time. I adore this set and I'm not even a tea drinker! Good thing I have some friends that are. They are going to love this card.
