A Serendipity Summer

Doesn't this stamp just scream summer? Makes me want to grab a lemon-laced iced tea, a juicy novel and plop down for a long afternoon of reading and relaxation.

The stamp is "Adirondack Chair" from Serendipity Stamps and I am so excited to present this card as my first official creation as a member of their Design Team. You are going to love seeing the other great stamps that I am working with, so stay tuned!

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

Can a 31 year old still be your baby? Absolutely! It's my daughter's birthday today. Happy Birthday Andrea! I decided it was time to give my Stampendous bee a little time in the limelight. The bee series of stamps are still ranked up there as some of my all time favorites and they are so much fun to color. This one is called "Bee Party". The sentiment is also by Stampendous and is part of the "Two You" Perfectly Clear stamp set.

The super cheerful patterned paper is from the "Dreamy 2" collection from My Mind's Eye. I used Copic markers to color the image and added some Stickles to shine up the wings and some red Liquid Pearls for accent.

Darkness into Light

I haven't made a masculine card in ages. I think like a lot of you, I find it easier to create when I can play with flowers and ribbon and scallops and bling.. ooh, and pink! You know the girly stuff!

I've been drooling over some of the cards I've seen that were made using the beautiful stamps from Our Daily Bread Designs. Their sets are so inspiring. I used the Keep my Lamp Burning set for this card.

I did a lot of inking here and I do mean a lot. LOL! The papers are older (think 3 or more years old) Diane's Daughters and the small brass embellishments are from KandiCorp.

Konnichiwa

Konnichiwa or Good Afternoon!

The minute I saw this set from Hero Arts called Four Dolls, I knew I had to have it. The dolls are adorable and the set also contains a flower, fan, paper lantern and flowered border...so many possibilities!

I stamped one of the dolls and colored with her with Copic markers. I then cut her out and popped her up on dimensionals. The fan was then layered on top. These papers just spoke "Japan" to me. The paper lanterns were stamped on one of the papers from my May Scarlet Lime kit and then cut out. The final touch was the addition of Kaiser Pearls to adorn her hair sticks.

She just makes me smile.

FS 121 and Good News!

I haven't had a chance to play along with the Featured Stamper Challenge at SCS for quite awhile. This week Rox71 is in the spotlight. You can find her very inspirational gallery here. This is the card I chose to case. I have to tell you it was a tough choice, picking just one card. I used a different stamp set and patterned paper and opted for Dew Drops in lieu of brads.
